U.S. EPA SW-846 METHOD 9074
Simplify and Accelerate Hydrocarbon Contamination Detection with PetroFLAG®
Traditional laboratory testing for hydrocarbon contamination in soil is slow, costly, and often misses critical contaminants. Methods like EPA Method 8015 take one to two weeks to deliver results and only detect Gasoline Range Organics (GRO) or Diesel Range Organics (DRO). This leaves heavier hydrocarbons like fuel oil, motor oil, hydraulic oil, and greases undetected, even though they may still be present in the soil.
PetroFLAG® by Dexsil is a trusted solution that enables on-site, rapid Total Petroleum Hydrocarbon (TPH) analysis. Unlike outdated methods that rely on harmful solvents or chemicals, PetroFLAG® is free from chlorofluorocarbons, chlorinated solvents, and dyes. Its pre-measured, sealed glass ampules simplify use and guarantee reliable, consistent results every time.
PetroFLAG® delivers a comprehensive analysis of both aliphatic and aromatic hydrocarbons, covering a wide range from C8-C44 (including fuels, oils, and greases). It quantifies total hydrocarbon concentration, not specific analytes, making it an ideal choice for identifying contamination in diverse soil types and field conditions.
The rugged, portable PetroFLAG® analyzer is easy to use, with a simple digital interface and built-in response factors for various hydrocarbons, from weathered gasoline to crude oil. It offers sensitivity from 15 ppm (MDL) to 2000 ppm with a standard 10g soil sample, and up to 200,000 ppm with a smaller sample or high-range extraction.
Compact and complete, the PetroFLAG® system includes everything needed for 10 tests, neatly packaged in a convenient, briefcase-sized carrying case—perfect for fieldwork.
Get faster, more accurate, and more comprehensive results with PetroFLAG®. Skip the lab and detect hydrocarbon contamination on-site with ease!
