NOW AVAILABLE
As PFAS have rapidly become environmental contaminants of great concern, Dexsil has been hard at work developing new screening technology for multiple matrices. The cutting edge L2000DXT system is capable of providing screening results in as little as 30 minutes.
The L2000DXT is a portable, on-site test kit that uses a reductive-defluorination sample preparation, coupled with a sensitive fluoride ion specific electrode to achieve Total Organic Fluorine (TOF) results in real-time for a variety of matrices. Specialized reagents and procedures are currently available for water, with soil methods coming soon!
How does it work?
This system utilizes a specially optimized Liquid/Liquid Extraction (LLE) that removes interferences, and separates inorganic fluorine from the sample. Isolated organic fluorine then undergoes a Reductive Defluorination (RD) process, converting it to fluoride, and subsequently transferring it to an aqueous solution. Finally, a Fluoride Ion Selective Electrode (FISE) is used to determine the fluoride content, with Total Organic Fluorine (TOF) concentration results displayed on the L2000DXT*.

Which reagent option is right for me?
The L2000DXT system is currently available with two options for PFAS/TOF water screening.
Our Low Range method has detection capabilities down to 1 ppb. This method is most applicable to post-treatment waste waters, initial site characterizations, monitoring wells, etc.

Our High Range method has detection capabilities down to 0.3 ppm. This method is most applicable to untreated waste waters, AFFF releases, or any situation where very high concentrations of PFAS are expected.

Advantages of the L2000DXT PFAS/TOF screening system:
- Field Portable
- Appx.1 ppb MDL for low range water screening
- Appx. 0.3 ppm MDL for high range water screening
- Interference resistant
- Linear response across PFAS types
- Applicable to AFFF impacted water
- Results in 30 minutes or less
- No special training required.
*This system and sample preparation/analysis processes are patent pending.
